Parking info

The nearest mini-bus and coach parking is Blechynden terrace, a 5-10 minute walk from SeaCity.

Recommended child: adult ratios

  • KS1&2 – 1:6
  • KS3-5- 1:10

It is important that group leaders remain with their groups at all times as the behaviour and discipline of pupils remain the responsibility of group leaders for the duration of your visit.

When going around the venue self-guided it is advised to do so in smaller groups (maximum of 10 pupils) led by an adult.

Teacher Preview Evenings

There are teacher preview evenings on 17& 29 May from 4-5pm. To book a place please email museums.education@southampton.gov.uk

Previsits

We have scheduled previsits where you can meet a member of the learning team and complete your risk assessments. The next one is 3rd May at 4-5pm.

Alternatively, you can arrange a previsit at a time convenient to you, although we cannot guarantee a meeting with a member of the learning team.

Workshops and Discovery sessions

All our workshops and tours are tailor-made to your requirements. We promote creative thinking, discussion and group work, catering for all types and ages of learners. We enable participants to handle authentic museum objects, dress up and engage with thought-provoking, enjoyable tasks.
